16th - 23rd April 2022

Join Nick & Lucia on a journey towards your authentic self.
The yoga retreat is held in the peaceful setting at Wild Oasis Algarve, in the hills of Monchique, Algarve, Portugal. Here we will immerse ourselves in the stunning natural surroundings of the area.
We will guide you on a beautiful journey of self therapy through different yoga practices, ceremonies and techniques to help you cleanse, breathe and heal.
During this yoga retreat we will help you embrace your true nature through harmonic movement and connection to your mind, body and breath. The Algarve is the perfect setting for your journey.
Emerge and rise! Recharge yourself during this empowering journey with us. We want you to leave this week feeling at home and at peace in your body and mind. Learning how to surrender into the moment and let go whatever does not serve you.
Our yoga retreat is for all levels whether you are new to yoga or an advanced yoga practitioner. We will practice asanas, meditation and pranayama daily with the inclusion of special additional evening ceremonies.

All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided by our private, hand-picked chef and will of course be veggie/vegan. Snacks, teas and water will be available throughout the day.

Each morning before the yoga class we practice a silent start to the day, to be calm and with our own thoughts, and because we understand yoga happens off the mat too. Morning yoga classes will be energising vinyasa classes, to wake up our bodies and raise your natural energy.
A healthy breakfast follows the morning yoga class to prepare you for the day.
Then it is free time to read, go in the swimming pool and sauna, enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Algarve, go for a hike in nature or one of the many other activities in the area, such as horse riding or cycling. You’ll be provided a lunch here or to take away.
Afternoon yoga will be a relaxing Yin and Pranayama session to unwind from the day, slow down, observe and contemplate.
Dinner is followed by an evening ritual, with occasional guest teachers who will perform special ceremonies such as sound bath meditation and cacao ceremony.
We encourage all guests to digital detox as much as possible, especially at night time before sleeping and in the morning upon waking.

Regarding Covid19 restrictions we ask that all guests have a valid vaccination certificate or if unvaccinated can produce a negative PCR test 2 days before arrival.

Meet Lucia your yoga teacher and host for the retreat.

Lucia is from Barcelona, Spain, but currently living in SW Portugal.

Lucia has over more than 10 year of experience with yoga and has been teaching regularly for the past 6 years in Portugal, Spain and Bali.

Her first yoga training was 6 years ago in Nusa Lembongan (Bali)  a 200hr Vinyasa yoga training, and later did a 200hr Ashtanga & Yin yoga training in Bali too. She keeps learning and deepening her knowledge by attending different courses and workshops online and in person, for example Ayurveda trainings, arm balancing workshops and other asanas courses.

Through yoga Lucia has learned how to love herself, how to become aware of her feelings, to forgive… and she loves to be able to share this practice with others, sharing her experience and knowledge for you to heal, for you to accept, to grow and release without guilt. To help you show up on the yoga mat in a way that you are showing up for yourself.

With her we will be moving away from just trying to attain poses into higher thoughts and deeper breaths. She will be guiding you on a journey into your soul by moving consciously with every breath.

She believes that the goal of the yoga practice is moving without worrying how you look, without being hard on yourself or comparing yourself to others, rather feel whatever emotion needs to be felt.

Lucia is very grateful to have been guided by wholesome souls in her yoga practice and she is fully committed to sharing the beautiful journey of yoga with you.

I can't wait you to join in this journey.

Namaste xx

Nick was born to an English mother and Italian father, and grew up in the Peak District National Park in the heart of the UK. Always seeking to be surrounded in nature, where he feels most at home, his adventures have brought him to the Costa Vincentina Natural Park, SW Portugal. Which he's now called home for the last 10 years.

Yoga found Nick in his early thirties and soon afterwards, whilst on Nusa Lembongan Island in Indonesia, attended a 200hr YTT course in Ashtanga and Yin.

He has also completed the Certified Breathwork Instructor Course from Michael Bijker's Yogalap, Life Awareness Project.

He believes that regular yoga practice not only heals and strengthens the body and mind, through positive thought and action, it also helps guard against illness, disease and slows down the ageing process.

He has been teaching yoga regularly for four years now, where he teaches a combination of Yin and Yang (Vinyasa and Ashtanga) styles, Pranayama/Breathwork and Meditation.

He's still continuing to deepen his knowledge and practice with workshops, by attending other yoga teachers' classes, online courses and studying.

He hopes to pass this ancient and modern knowledge and practices on to his students so that they can be healthy, happy and attain a sense of inner peace.
